A contemporary office building at 16 Old Bailey in the City of London, combining unitised curtain wall to the main elevations with stick curtain walling to the setback and terrace zones for a seamless architectural read.
16 Old Bailey is a City of London office building where the primary elevations are enclosed in factory-glazed unitised cassettes and the setback storeys and terraces are finished in stick curtain walling — the two systems reading as one continuous envelope. Delta Facades delivered both, working from a common digital model so mullion positions, glass sizes and cap profiles aligned exactly at every transition. The City location demanded strict logistics discipline: every delivery, lift and hoist was pre-planned to fit the local traffic management orders.
Unitised panels were manufactured off-site to a floor-by-floor delivery schedule that matched the tower crane's lift plan hour by hour. Stick curtain walling was installed from independent access on the setbacks so both systems could progress in parallel without conflict.
