[ PROJECT OVERVIEW ]

A striking modern tower featuring precision-engineered stick curtain wall systems with high-performance glazing and an innovative facade grid that defines the city skyline.

York Place is a modern commercial tower with a strong architectural facade grid — a deliberate rhythm of vertical mullions that reads clearly from every approach. Delta Facades installed the full stick curtain wall envelope with high-performance solar-control glazing, working from a single mast-climber system that allowed the tower to close in floor-by-floor without over-committing to fixed scaffolding. The scope included the ground-floor entrance screens and the setback rooftop plant enclosure, all tied to the primary curtain wall grid.

[ METHODOLOGY ]

The curtain wall was set out from a laser-verified digital grid and installed vertically from a wraparound mast-climber system. Each storey was closed in and weather-tested before the mast-climber moved up, giving the internal trades a predictable envelope-completion date.

[ CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS ]
  • Maintaining a rigid architectural mullion rhythm across every storey
  • High-performance solar-control glazing with tight visual-transmission targets
  • Mast-climber sequencing on a constrained urban plot
  • Coordination with the internal fit-out for early weather-tight handover
[ MATERIALS ]
  • Stick curtain walling with high-performance solar-control IGUs
  • Aluminium entrance screens and rooftop plant enclosure
