OVAL VILLAGE.
Kennington, London
High-end residential towers at Oval Village receiving meticulously installed rainscreen cladding and precision-engineered ground-floor stick curtain wall systems.
Oval Village is a high-end residential development in Kennington. Delta Facades installed the ventilated rainscreen cladding system to the upper residential storeys and the stick curtain walling to the ground-floor amenity, entrance and retail elevations. The rainscreen carrier system, insulation and fire-cavity barriers were installed as a single coordinated wrap around each tower, then finished with the exposed rainscreen panels — meaning the fire-critical layers were signed off long before the visible facade closed in.
Rainscreen was installed layer-by-layer — brackets, insulation, breather, cavity barriers, then panels — with each fire-critical layer photographed and signed off before the next was placed. Ground-floor stick curtain walling was set out from the same vertical grid so the rainscreen joints landed cleanly on the curtain wall mullions.
