Precision installation of fire-rated internal curtain wall screens to a grand central atrium at the Ministry of Sound Westfield mixed-use development, combining EI-rated glazing with an uninterrupted architectural sightline.

This mixed-use commercial and leisure building at Westfield White City is centred on a full-height atrium that carries daylight deep into the plan. Delta Facades installed the internal fire-rated curtain wall screens that enclose that atrium — EI-rated glazed assemblies that maintain compartmentation across multiple storeys while preserving the architect's intended slim-sightline aesthetic. Fire-rated glazing at this scale is unforgiving: every gasket, intumescent seal, bracket and perimeter interface has to be installed exactly to the tested specification for the fire rating to hold.

All fire-rated screens were installed strictly to the manufacturer's tested detail pack, with each perimeter interface photographed and signed off before the intumescent seal was concealed. Panels were lifted internally with tracked mini-cranes and set out against a digital model of the atrium frame to keep sightlines aligned floor-to-floor.
